I'm looking for a place to stay for two windsurfers from Maui June 26th-July 13th. If anyone knows of a fairly cheap rental please let me know.

ALoha,
Jake

The gorge will be much cheaper than Maui. And we are allowed to camp on the logging roads here.

Two suggestions.

One, I camped for years at Memaloose campground. Lush grass, no bugs, no tent, hot .50 cent showers. If you are really on a budget. Rangers are cool, no hassles. Good for a night or two here and there if nothing else. I've also poached a shower here many times and then found a campsite in the back of one of the numerous orchards in the area. Freebee, but I'm sure I'll get railed on for this suggestion. Just don't steal a peach and remember to say Buenos Dias on the way out!

Two, the Dalles hotels are much cheaper than Hood River and closer to Doug's Beach. Lots of good mexican restaurants/margarita's too. Free internet, PPV, bars with surprsingly friendly young Honey's, and all you can eat (and take with you) breakfasts. Load up Duders.

Of course, with your near pro status, I doubt you have a hard time crashing at your colleagues digs.
