The port is holding on to its bridge which should have been in public hands since the 60's. The state law says that the privately built bridges become property of the state after 40years. If you really want to see mismanagement go check through their files.

I dug into their business dealings a few years back after developers wanted to put 500 condos on the waterfront where the park is going in now. After putting initiatives on the ballot(we won 70 to 30) and fighting them tooth and nail for years we got the permission to use our land as a park

They have lost millions of dollars in grant money. They were given 800,000$ to build a 'transit facility' (bus train etc) I don't see one, they are good at writing grant proposals and getting money, no one knows where it goes...

They are making 2.6 million a year on the toll both, don't let them tell you the renovations are costing them millions, the state is paying through grants. They are the biggest land owner in Hood River with over 21million in realestate holdings.

Please, get rid of their strangle hold on the bridge, articles of disolution can be obtained from the state.

It is the third form of taxes around here, st, fed, port...
