...Key to learning is to look over/under your shoulder: where your eyes look your body will go. ALWAYS. And that goes for ALL moves!
I was told that the body follows the HEAD!!!
Perhaps that's what you meant. Except that's not what you said. If you're going to give advice or directions, I would ask that you be precise with your words. I can just see some poor shmuck trying to get around with a side glance.
One's eyes don't necessarily look where one's head is turned.

Who would imagine you are a lawyer I cannot imagine keeping the head straight or forward and looking under/over your shoulder while going for a forward but hey I got a lazy eye (no joke), I can do weird things with my eyes and head.. |

Indeed, in my profession I have observed that most lawsuits are a result of people being lazy with words. (at least in the area of business litigation) Ambiguity or imprecision can be costly!
As far as windsurfing or kiting, a single word can make all the difference in a person's comprehension of what they need to do, or what they are doing incorrectly.
Anyhoo, while my post was mostly a joke, I do prefer highly articulate teachers over ones that make a big splash visually, but fail to clearly and patiently explain the technical aspects. |

Watch out madspaniard/enrique, he's a lawyer: sharks don't let go once they bite. Since mr. smart-ass-language-puritan needs to be exactly, precisly, and 100% correctly told how to do anything (he's a lawyer; we cannot expect much creativty and/or imagination) he otherwise will not have a clue what to do. Remember, according to laywers there must be people that look left, having their heads up when they take a right, and we should have considered those obviously.
Anyhoo.... Wyatt's post has at least 5 mistakes, but mr shark didn't smell blood. Oh yes, shark's are also very selective.
Anyhoo.... I realized I will need a disclaimer, just in case:

Ahh, swe106, no need to get all tied up in knots over this. I can tell (from the above), that you are indeed very "creative" with the (spelling) of the English language. Lastly, I'm a "she-shark".
PS: Wyatt would be welcome to teach tricks in So.Cal too! I noticed he has no plans to come south anytime soon. |

In my profession, I have observed that people are very different. What one person doesn't get, another can so clearly.
My "teachers" usually loose me when they get too technical.
I personally know SWE 106. He's an awesome sailor and a great gift to the windsurfing community. He has given me and many others lots of valuable input. If what he or anyone else says doesn't make sense, just ask for clarification. |

Neither is it for the she-shark, but you'd never guess talking to her. |
