No need to blow $50-75 on those "cockroach on the ear" looking blue-tooth thingies.

As a South African, I object to you making fun of my fellow countrymen (yes, that photo originated in South Africa).

Now you've aroused my curiosity. Care to give examples?

Well, our president denied the existence of AIDS for many years. Hilarious considering how many South Africans were dying because of the misinformation/lack of information about AIDS.
Also, our president still has not critisized the thug Mugabe in Zimbabwe. Side splittingly funny when anyone who does not support Mugabe is beaten or killed:

Oh wait, you wanted something actually funny...
Sorry, it's Monday morning. Nothing funny about that when Leo is averaging 19 mph at 10 in the morning and no way to leave work till 5 pm.

Along the same vein of "funny", there are many things happening here in this country too. By way of example, in this morning's paper there was a story about how to handle deportation of an illegal with a rap sheet for drunk driving, etc., when they have U.S. born children and therefore parental rights.
It blows me away that so many believe that having children is a valid loophole around legal immigration, no matter who the parents are. According to them, if you can sneak across the border and make children on U.S. soil, you're immune from the law! Brilliant! And soooo funnnnny.
Also, it's "funny" to me that in this country it's totally acceptable to be illiterate and have writing skills of a 1st grader. Talk about lowering the bar, people! Sooooo funny!!!!

Speaking of illegal, in SF were I live and have lived for 14 years. Illegals have more rights than a citizen. On my scanner I have ocver heard them being pulled over for various traffic violations and not even cited, no registration, no insurance. Guess you cannot take away privleges you never are entitled too.
God forbid your law abiding in SF. You actually have something to lose.

I think this thread wins the award for mutating faster than any that have come before.
Seems like the right time for some Finnish Poetry....
From his hole so wet and drenching
a pike rose up to tree to sing
when through the greyish net of clouds
first gleam of day was seen
and at the lake the lapping waves
woke up with joyous mean
the pike rose to the spruce's crone
to take a bite at reddish cone
he may have seen or heard, or smelled
or learned by taste of cone
the dew-wet glory, untold yet
of that morning-hour
opening his
mouth so bony
sidewise moving
the jawbone phoney
intoned a hymn
so wild-and-heavy
that birds fell silent
immediately
as if overcome by
the waters' weight
and lonesomeness'
cold embrace.
