In the land of the blind, and all that....

What I'm thinking is a more likely scenario, is those kids who have the exposure and experiences become a more fluid and borderless cohort, and the poor and uneducated are left behind, as usual.

After all, do you feel more affinity with an educated professional from another country, say a Chinese IT guy from Silicon Valley, or some dirt poor Appalachian redneck?

Also, don't misunderestimate the number of illiterate peasants still produced by places such as India and China. It's not like a majority, or even a sizeable fraction of of those countries is finishing a high level of education. Their sheer numbers mean higher gross degrees, but those people are going to want to be integrated into the global economy and 1st world culture, not stay behind to improve their "average" countrymen's life.

In other words, they're exactly like you and me and the Appalachian dirt-farmers.

Most have probably been around numerous "types" of both, a lot in between, as well as even a number of people who are at "higher" as well as "lower" "stations" in their current lives than those you mention and I will have to say that I can relate to as well as enjoy any and all depending MOSTLY on what is in their "HEART", "psyche", etc. etc.

If they are "interesting", have good "stories", are "kind", etc. etc. it is ALL good. Of course it probably also helps if they are interested in various things that I am interested in. Smile But I am interested in, or can BECOME interested in, a LOT of DIFFERENT things so that MIGHT not be a HUGE problem.

I am sure many of us have been around SOME PHDs or "higher", SOME "bums" or "lower", as well as SOME of everything in between whom we CAN'T STAND or relate to.

But on the OVERALL subject, it has probably almost ALWAYS been sort of "pyramidal" types of situations. Probably even more so in the past as well as especially in the deep, dark, DISTANT past. Of course there are MORE people now, especially in India, China, etc. so there are MORE people on the BASES of these various pyramids now.

So how long can we keep all of this "running"? In NUMEROUS countries, they can't now, or maybe EVENTUALLY (even HERE in the DISTANT future?!) WON'T be able to, keep it "running". Similar to other "situations" in the "past". There are always "ups and downs" ANYWHERE given enough time. Entropy RULES plus "Big Bang" theories, etc. will EVENTUALLY "get" EVERY "known" LIVING thing anyway. Shocked
