If you are curious and want to check the wind at the Olympic windsurfing venue, the sensor that iWindsurf reports for Qingdao is quite close to the sailing center. It's not a super windy location, but anyhow, the current wind graph is here:

And the last 7 days are here:

Is there any way somebody can get this stuff over to youtube or some other venue? My ancient computer cannot install Silverlight. (I bought a new board instead.)

I have to agree with drcrabe, as my Motorola processor chip on my Mac Powerbook is unable to view the videos. Seemingly, only the latest Intel processor chips in Macs will work. Too bad, as I would have liked to view the video, because I don't think that there's a chance in the world that windsurfing will be depicited by NBC in prime time.

I have an old computer too. Try installing Silverlight in Firefox -- It works for me (3.0 DSL), but skips a little.

I can get this to work with internet explorer but not with firefox. You may have to try a different browser depending upon your computer and operating system.

I tried internet explorer a couple of times, but in trying to open the link my computer just kind of freezes up and doesn't seem capable of bringing up the NBC site. Maybe I try again later to see if I have any better luck.

After looking at the wind graph, I really don't want to go through the trouble to install Silverlight just to watch a windsurf race in 10 mph winds.

Good call. I watched part of it and gave up. If I had to sail like that, I think that I would find another sport.

If thats what Olympic windsurfing is, no wonder its not shown on TV. If I had to pump a big #$# sail for that long I would be so exhausted I'd never finish the race. You gotta give them a A for effort. But Boring!
