Last years tests are in the above link.

The Columbia is VERY clean.

33 times cleaner than Federal standards for recreational water. 11 times cleaner than Vermont the state with the highest standards for E.coli testing.

All the dust and pollen on the land blows into the Columbia and all recreational bodies of water.
If you snort the parking lot dust at the Hatchery often,I would bet you would get "Parking Lot Nose".
I find a good nose clip works to prevent "River Nose".

Excellent thoughts, Jim. Thanks. Also, during my last trip, I suffered from "airplane nose." Being cooped up with 200 or so hacking, wheezing fellow humans for 10 or so hours in planes and airports may be part of what we're all experiencing when getting a itchy, runny nose concurrently with our trips to/from paradise?

Typically after mid July the layer that floats on top of the river has diminished so you shouldn't have much of a problem.

Not only that.... you could get "Parking Lot Ear", "Parking Lot Mouth" (closely related to potty mouth), and "Parking Lot Teeth".

IMHO... there's nothin' worse than "Parking Lot Teeth" cuz it feels like they got run over by isobars RV.
