In which our hero observes a perfectly executed north pipe platform launch and has intimate encounters with pleasure yachts and navigational aids.

What type of camera are you using? I was using an ATC-2K from Oregon Scientific (about $100) until I lost my 2nd in the bay. The video quality of yours is better. |

Note they are about to release a wide angle version. For now I have a cheap wide angle lens taped on mine. |

I park on North Point in front of the unoccupied units that are boarded up. The residents use some of those spaces as well, so I usually park a few spaces down to not make waves and avoid any complaints. I usually suit up by the van and then carry my gear bundled up out to the grass sin back to rig. I was reviewing some of the developer proposal info and it looks like they have budgeted $1.8 M for windsurf related improvements, so hopefully someday (our improvements are scheduled in the late phases of the development) we will walk into the water instead of climb.

At high tide it is pretty easy to get out as you are standing on a smooth ledge. At low tide it is a pain in the rear and I have to do it one piece at a time and had to chase my sail a bit. |
