Windsurfing Sites in Michigan

My girlfriend lives in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. And of course, she wants to learn windsurfing too (she is hooked I think after a couple of lessons from me!). So, the question is: What are some of the windsurfing sites or best spots to learn windsurfing in that area or at least as close as possible to her? Mt. Clemens is about 26 miles north of Detroit.

Lake St. Clair is good.

If you're in mount clemens, then metro beach is good (16 mi. road) on lake st clair. If you want a 'safer' location, there's a lot of sailors at Stony Creek metro park in Shelby.
