Alright Papa (Bruce) - here you go - According to NOAA, Friday morning 20-25 NE and Sunny.
The Chatham side of Pleasant Bay should be ground zero for some user friendly high wind sailing.
It could be our second chance of the week to hit it good!
Bruce (of Falmouth fame) come on down, you know the score too!
The plans are aready in motion to make Friday morning open.
All are welcome!!!

Ron,
Windguru shows NE Thur PM + Fri AM
http://www.windguru.cz/int/index.php?sc=102
Iwindsurf makes Fri sound better for NE and Thursday more North.
I hope this time the daylight hours get their share of the wind.
The wife heads for Barbados Wed so I will be solo and will watch forcast
and try to hit the best NE at Pleasant Bay and will enjoy company so keep me informed.

Yes, I have had this on the radar for a couple of days. Although there can be good sailing locally in a NE, it's either too gusty or the shore break in the rocks too forbidding. Pleasant Bay on Friday looks the best. However, I may also do a short session on Th. locally. |

Go to Pleasant Bay, Brucie. And then keep on going. Head west past the Great Lakes. When you hit the Pacific, turn right. Keep going. Don't stop. |

OK Guys, the forecast is seems to be holding.
I ran into a couple that make an annual pilgrimage to the outer Cape each mid September. There are 3 couple in the group, only 2 made it this year.
My goal is to hook up with them and sail a lilttle in CC Bay tomorrow afternoon and then do it again at Pleasant Bay Friday morning. Hopefully, work and kids won't get in the way.

Friday morning looks good for Pleasant Bay. I'm planning to be there early. What time are you planning to go, Ron? |

Windguru is backing off their forecasted strength and duration of winds for tomorrow morning seeing them below 20 and backing off from 8 a.m. on. Lie-W sees the strongest winds this afternoon out in the more eastern beaches but from the NNE. It seems they are calling for high readings around 24 m.p.h. for today, stronger than tomorrow. Nevertheless, the forecasts can be dead wrong and have been disappointing for the last two weeks. |

Chapin might be good tomorrow as well high tide is 2:41 PM, so might be a hike in the morning, but I'm planning to get there between 10:00 and 11:00. Anyone else planning on being there? Hope to have some company. |

Hi Ron and Oliver - I'm planning to go to the Cape tomorrow after a long summer here in RI... Pleasant Bay looks good, could you give me some directions to the launching spot?
I'll see you there!!!
