Windsurfing is like Heroin.

Kiting is like sugar coated donuts, eah it works on the munchies.....but give me a F. break. I started kiting because windsurfing in the flat was boring, and past the intial year of learning back in 1999.....It turned out to be even more boring. Year was 2000 I was on a coarse board and a 8.3 Sail... Conrad was passing me on a Flexifoil and 143. Slow? Learn how to kite.

P.S. Post your kite mush on Ikitesurf not a windsurfing forum....KOOK!
I still love kiting yet it is GAY! (large because of people like "that")

Peace.. may your stings not bust and a shark not eat your ass!

This kite bashing is getting old, especially to those who do both. Let me be at peace with my multiple personalities: poleboarder, dangler, sharkbait.

Maybe one day I'll get into the geezer trend of SUPing Very Happy

I must say I never thought a kite would hold the speed record

nice pictures,great spot.

kiting became popular 28 years after windsurfing
and they already kick our asses.
I am no scientist, but it seams obvious that it is a much more efficient
way to go fast on water.

Kiters are like republicans, they take more real estate, they consume more waves, they have nicer clothes, they think they're better than everyone else, and they always think they have right of way.

Windsurfers are more like democrats. They think that the republicans are always ripping them off!

Heaven forbid, you don't give kiters any leverage in the arena? There's really no sense in that, as one wouldn't want to needlessly give ground. But honestly, from what I understand, you know that all too well.
