I am looking for a drysuit I can use in the winter where the temp. drop very low here in Boston. I need a drysuit that will not be too epensive because I am not willing to pay a ton of money for a drysuit. |

The last price I heard on just the dry zipper itself was $150. That right there makes dry suits much more expensive than anything less. For cheap, buy used or add layers to a wet suit or steamer.

nothing good is cheap. if you want a good drysuit, expect to pay around 400 - otherwise, do as the others say...layer your wetsuit or steamer |

Dude,
Do you want to die?
Do you want the cheapest surgeon after they get you to the hospital with head trauma?
What is cheap today will cost you 10x tomorrow.
There are no bargains in life.
get a O'Neil or bare drysuit. 1$ a day. Whats your life worth? |

Don't confine your choices to just those two brands.

I'm gonna have to side with Ray on this one... Humans are not supposed to be in 42 degree water. Your winter wet or dry suit might as well be a space suit.
You can get into 6/5/4 hooded semidry wetsuits for $300- $400 that should get you through just about anything.
Stay safe! ! |

Ray wasn't saying 42 is too cold; he was saying "buy a top quality drysuit".
Quite a few Gorge and Great Lakes sailors thoroughly enjoy sailing in water in the upper 30s. They're INSANE ... but they enjoy it.
The Kokatat GoreTex dry suit feels like wearing pajamas ... beats any neoprene suit ALL to hell in terms of feel, and is warm as toast with plenty of fleece under it. Hover, at $800+ it doesn't the OP's coat criterion.
