Seems normally with about a 45 degree offshore angle, and that big DevilSlide blocking clean wind, it'd be hard to find a truly good day there.
I've sailed it, on a true S with barely SE component, but it lasted maybe 1/2 hour, right off StatePark.
AaronWright used to have a shop right up S end, up the hill a bit, and he only stocked glass wave boards. Unfortunately, that was before my windsurfing days, so I never got the chance to ask him about Pedro or local surfsailing spots. This was 1982.
Maybe logged 10 days surfsailing, or trying to, at Pedro, and only one good. Been there on strong S winds maybe 200 days, surfing and looking for wind. |
