Unfortunately I didn't take a camera, but Topanga was epic yesterday. I was the only windsurfer out between 12 and 2, along with a couple of kiters. There were no surfers out so the break was wide open, which is pretty rare. The waves were pretty well blown out but there were still some rides to be had, plus great jumping on way out.

County line was as windy as it has been in a year. everyone was on 4.0-4.5 and overpowered in head high surf. The bombora had 10' swells, but it wasn't quite big enough to break. Big jumps. I'd love to see pictures.

ps thanks to the kiter who dragged Gregors brand new board and rig in after the new np universal broke in half! G was jumping big on the outside.

It sure does... and if you get swallowed by it, and then get separated from your rig, start praying that "THE LANDLORD" is hunting in the deep and doesn't notice as you are flailing afer your rig on top!

Yes, there is a shallow reef about 500 yards off shore that breaks when the swell is large. County has incredible surf sometimes. The bombora is gentle but can be scary. I had to swim for my rig yesterday.

Ah yes, the outer reef at County Line. How's the kelp way out there?

There was NO KELP! I kept waiting to get snagged, but it all disappeared in just 3 weeks. The swells must have ripped it loose.
