I got crunched and separated. Swam in and haven't found my rig.
It probably showed up at Sprecks or Paia Bay.
Any info would be awesome... thanks

Your rig won't show up there. You could try asking the lifeguards at Kanaha who sometimes drag stuff in they find. Otherwise Paukukalo or Waiehu is where it will end up.

It's also a good idea to put your name and phone number on your gear, in case it gets caught in a current and ends up offshore somewhere. A couple of years ago one of my friends lost his right in a fall on a big day at Spartan and the rig washed up at upper Kanaha. This is how it was returned.

Perhaps you should start with changing your name. You might just be tempting fate a bit with that one. Wink

All great responses... thanks.
The name on the gear thing is interesting... it was all rental gear with no company info anywhere. We scoured the beaches from Kuau to Sandpiles, spoke with life guards at Kanaha and Baldwin, and posted contact info all over the place. And the name... well, it's lead to much ribbing!
We're keeping our fingers crossed.
Peace.
