Hi All,
Just checked the tentative forecast for this coming weekend, and, well, it looks promising. The NWS is forecasting rain in SF/Bay area through Friday then clearing winds, NW/WNW, on Saturday and Sunday along with 10 and 12 foot swell respectively. |

I don't sail the Bay too often, so maybe the answer is obvious, but......will Berkeley work mid-day? |

Since none of the Berkeley regulars are chiming in, I'll take a guess. According to the tide chart, you should be OK till about 3 (zero tide.) After that it could get a bit muddy. Now pray for wind. |

Posting about sure fire upcoming wind in the winter, based on NWS's predictions five days down the road, is a sure way to insure we get hosed. Not that I'm blaming you or anyone else. I just know a guy named Murphy, who happened to write a certain "law" that ensures expected outcomes are inversely related to the amount of planning put into them. |

I don't think Murphy is the problem this year. It's been a bad year
for storm sailing in general. |

yep no storm sailing at all this yr so far. 2 sessions in november; that's all. The NW winds have finally arrived. Clocked around at 8pm... let's hope it won't blow over too early, otherwise it could be epic 2morrow! |
