Not to butt in, but Huckers don't come in 4.7. I'm sure you meant 4.8

Not planned, but partaken. OP 4.7 and 74 liters somewhere on the norcal coast. Much warmer water than the bay I'm sure and not too bad with a hood. Bare feet and hands not a problem. For once I saw more windsurfers out at Waddell than kites. How was it Arnie?

Yo Gerrit,

It was challenging to say the least, but the water was indeed (relatively) balmy: bare feet, no gloves, no hood, all good (ps: remember I am from northern europe...!!!). Wind was hard northwest (305dgrs), thus almost a lill side-off at waddell, which only increases the gustyness (is that a word btw?). Tide really low, unfortunately, and logo+ to almost mast set waves that broke pretty hard. I was mostly lit on my 5.3 Icon and 81L twinny. Everybody got some good rides; with Dan of course picking of the real smackers. Interestingly indeed that there were maybe one or two kiters out.

My last wave was logo+, solid and LONG, rode it all the way deep into the creek past the parking lot, 4-5 turns for sure. At my last turn it started to get more vertical, but I thought I could easily make it (a twinny get's you where no other board will go), but the wave decided to peak and hammer me down right when i was in my cutback on top. A 8-10ft free fall, topped off with the full force of the lip bashing me face first in the sand bar (luckily not the rocks). Broke my mast, but that's it. A lill dizzy when I came of the water. I guess that sums it up.

Where were you? Dport? How's that on a NW?
