Very nice. I think the GTV/A is one of the most gorgeous body designs of all time. Absolutely voluptuous.
I had the pleasure of driving a prepped 74 GTV. It is a true lustmobile.
Nice picture, JMF

Drop where? On top of being RWD e34 M5 in its tamer version (I6) has ~80HP over 164.

I think he meant in a drag race from 0 to 30 in reverse gear.

Yes, but the e34 M5 is electornically limited to 155 m.p.h. The Alfa 164 is not and is limited only by aero drag. The published top speed for the Q (24 valve) is 152, but it's common knowledge among 164 owners that the e34 will hit the electronic wall before the 164 hits terminal velocity.
Even my old 164L (12 valve) hit 133 with 176,000 miles while burning about a quart every hundred miles. I backed off out of respect for myself and humanity, but the car was still pulling fairly hard in 5th gear. And I passed a Merc. SL55 on the way there. Not what he expected when he first blew by on the highway. Fun, fun, fun!

I've always liked Alfa's. A good friend had a red GTV back in the early 80s that was really sweet. It had a notable design shape and style that said loads about it's character.
From what I understand, Alfa Romeo is considering a new entry strategy into the US market. From the shots I've seen, pretty nice stuff with a signature Italian flare for design and performance.

Ahh, don't even get me started about Alfa's return. I can't f'n wait!
And, yeah, the GTV is one of the greatest looking cars of all times, I think.

Well, that might be overstating things a bit, but you didn't help your case by posting pics of the ugliest GTV vintage of all, 72+...
One thing is clear, the Alfa GTV is not the best windsurfing minivan. That would be the Mini Cooper S.
