At Rooster there were maybe 10 windsurfers and 25 kiters there, and by noon it was 4.0, super warm. Water felt like 60 (actual 45) degrees. Booties were a must but fingers never were cold. couple hours of great sailing.
The early windsurfers went to were the Kiters go when the water is high (2 stairs above the main restrooms), so it's where everyone went. I bit crowded on that small beach. No one likes to park or sail by themselves when you've got that cold of water.

The numbers were a little more balanced at Stevenson with roughly 20 windsurfers out in the morning and 20 kites out in the afternoon.
Winds were 4.2 (but cold) early and dropped to 5.2 as it warmed up in the afternoon. |
