We hope to launch a replacement for the dynamic graph soon. To see the latest version of this new graph, use this link:

http://www.iwindsurf.com/windandwhere.iws?regionID=163&siteID=214&ClassicGraph=0&NewDynamicGraph=1

Once you click on that link, the website will default to the new graph until you click this link:

http://www.iwindsurf.com/windandwhere.iws?regionID=163&siteID=214&ClassicGraph=0&NewDynamicGraph=0

Key features:
- Ability to add multiple models and overlay them (Featuring the Weatherflow RAMS model as default)
- Ability to turn NWS forecast on and off
- Scrolling and zooming graph.
- Time range select to enable quick scroll for desired time periods
- Units selection
- Flash based which should minimize browser related bugs.
- Clear layout with "classic" graph type of bottom fill
- secondary direction graph option.
- day/night distinction markers at midnight
- air temperature and pressure shown in data tooltips for observations.
- settings for units, models, direction graph, and NWS forecast can be saved.
- classic graph (static image) is still available

Known Issues:
- If the model data becomes dated, the graph may display the time-scale selector box incorrectly.
- Graph lines do not show gaps where the station was down or not reporting.

Updates to come:
- Save settings function to also remember zoom level
- Add end of 'tape-measure' markers which link to the archived graph and data.
- Add a drag indicator to better convey the ability to drag the graph left and right.
- Archive only mode.
- Add tide subgraph option where applicable.

Some very nice features. The mouse over showing detail for individual data points is great as is the adjustability of the time scale.

Got the familiar filled graph back. The mouse-over is really nice as well. To me this looks gamma quality. Why is it still in beta? Smile

The new dynamic graph is OK. TMI. The old graph system was just fine.

wind50 - thanks for the feedback. The dynamic graph is certainly TMI for many users. But keep in mind this is a replacement for the current "dynamic graph", and *not* a replacement for our "classic graph" - which is a static gif image. You can turn on the classic graph by clicking the "classic graph" link under any graph. If you want to be able to zoom out or change units or look at forecast data on the graph, click on the "dynamic graph" link to return to the more functional version.

new graph is very good. One question - under options / models.
What does WRAMS , NAM , and GFS stand for. Likely just sounding very stupid asking, but "I gots to know"

Good question! See: http://www.iwindsurf.com/support.iws?genID=27
We have a link to that help page from many of our forecast maps, as well as on the new meteogram. I guess we need to add a link to it from the new graph too!

Just looked at the new graph using Cabrillo (for Friday), AKA Hurricane Gulch. Evidently I got there just after the CAT 5 hurricane came through at 1:00, according to the chart. It CAN be gusty! I guess this is where the nickname comes from.

(You might want to put some filters in to knock out spurious data or put a max on the Y-axis scale)
