If the Swine Flu from Mexico does not get me overnight I should be back on the Bay Area & Southern California forecast beat tomorrow. My two weeks camping on the bluff in San Carlos saw conditions ranging from tiny waves with slogging wind to big South swell with light wind to big wind with modest swell. Below is one photo and a link to a bunch more.

That wave is a thing of beauty! Hardly a single drop of water out of place.
Thanks for sharing.

Hey Mike,
thanks for sharing the foto! I am in Punta Abreojos right now we are at the end of nice southwest swell...Its been shoulder to head+ sets and nice wind too 4.7 to 5.7 looooooong peeling waves - 3 guys out. Heres a foto sorry for the poor quality! Pretty tranquilo with the swine flu no sign of anything here. I got the face mask for the drive thru TJ

Ya Esteban Nice shot, I am definitely stopping there at my next drive down to La Ventana. You are not missing anything here in the Bay we went from 30mph at Berkeley last week to rainy and flat. D'oh
Lets hit up Tuba when you get back

Wyatt, or anyone else, have you ever sailed at Punta Conejo, Punta Marquez, or other wave spots down in southern Baja? I'm going over there sometime, want to have a good chance of wind.

I have sailed at Pta Conejo, can be quite good as the place is a wave magnet and the wind can be good in the winter and spring. there is a left north of the point and a right south of the point so obviously for DTL sailing ya need the right ( sad for us goofy foots but I am used to it on the west coast not many lefts with DTL!) Marquez can be good as well but better for kiting as there is some landforms that block the wind down low. Pta Abreojos is really the best I have found and in the fall the water is shorty or trunks warm...sweet! I had a bud who was there for almost all of september and said he had wind and waves almost every day. I have caught it very good in Oct as well , more flies than in spring tho!

Thanks Esteban!
You mean Pta Abreojos in the north, or is there another one?
When do the southern sites start to shut off for the summer?
