I'm sorry JE,
didn't you tell me last nite to buy a kite, and that you were going to kite today?
Don't make me scan and post the "Guidebook to Cape Cod"
I can't go late.....it's a family affair
Will be somewhere at 2

Come on. Forwards ARE safe. More people should try them. When you've got those dialed, it's time to try something new. You could work off the forward and go for a table-top forward, maybe a shovit into forward or even a double. That's what I love about windsurfing, there's always something new to try, and I don't care what move it is. When you're learning it, you're crashing. That's what makes landing it so great. Try a ponch and see how "safe" windsurfing feels. When that gets boring go for a shaka. The list of new challenges just keeps going on and on. Now give me some wind so I can work on something new!
Mike
p.s. Glad to here that kiting is helping your wave sailing Jerry. |

mewindsurf....
Kiting is not helping my wave sailing wave sailing is helping my wave sailing. I kite when I am feeling lazy and want to do something easy. I find it funny that Ruffus does not feel safe kiting. To me kiting is way easier than windsurfing both physically and technically. Funny almost all pro windsurfers can kite but not so true with pro kiters windsurfing.
Remember when Sky Solbach came to the king of the Cape. He placed last in the pro windsurfing event. The next year he was one of the best kiters on the pro circuit. Just goes to show. If you can't cut it in windsurfing go kiting. I like kiting in the right conditions but I like windsurfing better. 30 days windsurfing so far this year and 14 days kiting.
Look out though SUPin is at 18 and growing rappidly on the log. _________________ www.Clew-View.com

you still need masts? that has been a never ending problem with those dam things. I still got all my gear I dont know if i can part with it thought, I may need it to make a bar out of or something
I am on the injured list now for the next 2 weeks. I tore a ligament in my foot where the big toe attaches its been 3 weeks and it is as bad as the day I did it...which means kiting on it and stuff is not helping. so I must just force myself to take time off which blows donkey balls. |
