Last time I was there I believe we also rented a Bic Nova. My wife previously tried sailing on an old Obrien Sensation that we have and she learned much quicker on the Nova. The main reason why we chose to vacation in Hatteras at the time was that they were about the only place on the east coast that rented the "newer" wide shorter boards for beginners and I wanted her to try one. We actually wanted to get her some lessons because there was a bit of friction with me teaching her. The only problem was that it seemed like the wind was never "right" for the shop to give a lesson.
Unfortunately, She won't be sailing this time because now she is 20 weeks pregnant with #2. |

Sailworld..... talk to ANDY, but it really depends on what your looking for the latest and greatest or really good people, who will take care of you, and really give back to the sport.
either way you go good luck with your sailing i was there last week and it was great. |
