Looking to ship windsurfing gear to the Gorge for month of July
I am trying to find someone driving out from Ontario that has room to take my quiver bag and a board.I would pay for some of the gas.[/b] |

Is your gear suitable for the Gorge? If we have a normal July, you'll welcome the days it's not blowing hard enough for a 5.2 and an 85 liter board as days to shop, pursue other activities, and rest. If you get too many light days, which can easily happen, you can also rent bigger gear ... or jet skis (it can be very dead and extremely hot).
If you can't carry your gear in your car, how will you carry it around the Gorge? You drive every day, anywhere from <5 to >100 miles, to find the wind. One of my buds has put 145,000 miles on his 1999 van, mostly chasing wind here, and he works full time and has a big, young family. You don't sit at one spot and wait for the wind to come to you.
You WILL want to visit the phenomenal Oregon coast, wind or no wind, and will want some gear along in case you find wind.
