Campers, ultimately are why we are here in the first place. Campers have commitment far beyond the average Joe to our sport. Campers are just one color of the rainbow of life. Let the campers camp! There are always great camping spots that will remain for a long time to come. I'd suggest staying out the the road though as natual selection may affect those campers. I'm not talking about the RV or even tent campers that camp at campgrounds. I'm talking about the true hardcore "never pay to camp" campers. They are the foundation of all kick ass places on earth.

I was one of the campers.
- The police kicked me out of Tunnel Lake last week.
- Said no one has been allowed there for two years.
- I'm sure there are people there now, but the police got all my info (eyes hair height) and said never to come back.
No more trips here. One thing after another. Makes Maui look great.
I don't even want to leave my name, so this is a new profile. Sorry.

It was comparable hassles over much less than that which prompted me to promise myself 20 years ago never again to set foot in California. Ain't yet, don't plan to, but expect that general attitude to intensify and expand very significantly into many more aspects of our lives.

That's going to make you a target for the fringers who hijack entire threads to express their intolerance of those who post facts and opinions contrary to their mantras, Bret. Ready for that?
Thanks.

Yea, I am changing my name. Some yesterday asked me if I was ISOBARS. Maybe because I predicted the wind would back off and go north at the Hatch Monday.

On a bad post day, everyone gets called ISOBARS. Some idiot thought I was ISOBARS once when I had my face guard on and he was ranting.
And EVERYONE gets kicked out of a campsite once.

Ooooh, the ultimate insult! Too bad George Carlin's not still around to add "ISOBARS" to his list of seven banned words. I can see it now: People run screaming from the club and burn it down because Andrew Dice Clay shouted "ISOBARS" from the stage.
Sheesh!
Maybe next time I come ashore after something breaks, I swim a mile and walk another, stub a toe on a rock, tear my dry suit, and step in warm dog crap in my bare feet I'll shout "ISOBARS" instead of ... whatever ... as I throw my gear on the ground. $^&*!#*$%#$% becomes insufficient after overuse, and "ISOBARS!" would fly right over little kids' heads.
