If anyone is going to be in the Gorge from 7/11 thru. 8/2 contact me. |

Cape cod has been dismal for winds late May and all of June. We had that one high wind Nor'ester, but no one was in shape for it. The pattern continues today. I'll proably go out this afternoon and do some old fart freestyle in wet weather just to keep in some kind of shape. |

Brucie, the old fart word is "prabably."
Hey, don't hurt yourself this afternoon. Wouldn't want you to miss the party this weekend. |

Bruce, I'll agree with you and most that it's been lame for sailing.
Who's out of shape? Everyone? Or you? No real complaints with 30+ days on some sort of board; including 2 hours of 5 then 4.2 sailing during the NE'r. Also the OUTCASTers are getting a workout surfing with their boat oars!!
Speaking of surfing, I hoping that the club will be open for some dinner time sessions this weekend. The out of towners / social OUTCASTs can catch a break with no parking fees.

Does one hold onto a boom when on a surfboard? The muscles you use windsurfing are unique to the sport. How sore were you the day after that N.E. passed through? When I go out with a 9.6 only one day a week, I barely keep in shape for it. The same goes for those who only use high wind gear once every month, no matter what else they do. By the way, I bought an 11 meter sail yesterday. Now I have to find a boom to fit it. This way I can cope with the ultra light winds. |

Got a great fare on JetBlue out of JFK, 6am flight got us here yesterday at 9:30. Wind picked up and I was on a 4.5 and 4.2, awesome day.
You might have to think about traveling like we did to get some wind, Vela Sports here in Cabarete is great with plenty of gear. |

I ride in summer around Montreal, and in Winter around the Tampa region. I find the lack of wind the last 1-2 years troublesome, but this June beats all of it. |

Dirt biking/snowmobiling is almost identical to WSing.
