I stopped by during the week. No one there. Parking was sketchy and lot's of angry young males looking pissed that I in their neighborhood. Makes the Stick look like a convent. I'm done with TI till they re-open the old lot. |

i've never had anything but friendly vibes from the residents at t.i.
not any worse than at crissy from some of the regular windsurfers and kiters, and they don't even live there. |

I don't think I'd sail there alone for a variety of reasons. I always try to hook up with other sailors when I go. Still, I don't get any bad vibes while I'm there. I always try to engage people around the launch. They all seem pretty cool.
Today I saw the game warden hop the curb and drive behind the abandoned units, then come back out. He waved to us. I suspect he was checking for fishing licenses.

Also, today, with the big crowd, I can't imagine the locals didn't notice us. Some sailors were clowning around with an air horn. I think it's a good idea to keep quiet, don't talk too loud, keep a low profile.

Those where my boys keeping riff-raff off the island. It worked! They're always smiling and waving at me. Must be my attitude. |

Today, after a fun session at TI, a cop car came around and asked us to hide our beers. Apparently, one of the neighbors complained. The cop wasn't too bothered about the drinking, rather that he "had" to respond to a call. So let's try to keep those calls to zero. I would suggest that until we get our parking lot back, we need to be extra careful. Travel mugs and knowing where the garbage cans are will go a long way. |

i think were lucky to have the abandoned condo units with available parking and even grass to rig up at TI. but hanging out post-session drinking beers in a neighborhood where were just guests seems to be totally in bad form and taste. seriously, this isn't crissy or candlestick. tread lightly, even on the weekends. |
