Tonight (Monday July 6):
As you may have heard we will be having a tribute to Paul tonight at Crissy Field at 7:30PM. We will have a raising of sails in Paul's honor since we'll be at his favorite spot hopefully having enjoyed his favorite sport earlier. So, if you're going to sail today, DON'T DERIG. If you're not going to sail come prepared to rig one of your sails and be ready to go by 7:30pm. At 7:30 we will gather on the sand at Crissy and simultaneously raise our sails in his honor and have our moment of silence and think good thoughts about him.
I'll be there to answer any questions people may have, and then we'll open it up if anybody wants to say anything... favorite Paul story, etc.
If anybody has a good camera (still or moving), bring it. It might be nice to document the raising of the sails on the beach. If we can get enough people, it will be quite a sight...
see you all at Crissy later,
soheil

I had to work late - figures, another windy day missed because of work, but worst of all had to miss the Crissy ceremony. Quite now...remembering Paul for and hoping for a return. Remembering his smile and gracious personality.

I had to observe my moment of silence from Downtown at work - just finished up the day. Here's a snap for others who missed it and don't know about to rooftop cam enough to have dialed in remotely.

Guys-I have to tell you that the ceremony and the posted pictures were really appreciated up here. We met at The Hook in Hood River at 7:30 as well and shared some great stories about Paul.

Well, even the sun and wind showed up in force yesterday to send good vibes out there for Paul. It was a very special evening. Thanks for posting a pic of everyone at the Hook as well. Stay strong...

Sadly, earlier this morning (Tuesday July 7), the Sheriff's dept. recovered Paul's body from the Columbia river. He was found near the Event Site.
Thanks to everyone who tirelessly helped with this search. Whether it was by plane or boat or kayak or windsurfer or jet-ski or forming a circle of friends or raising your sails or sending your thoughts and prayers, you helped find our friend Paul. Thank you!
As of yet, no arrangements have been made.
Rest in peace dear friend.

I didn't know Paul. But anyone who feels the same way about the wind and water as a way to enjoy life I consider my friend.
My sincere condolences to Paul's family. I'll think of him today on the water.
