Hey Gregor, maybe we have to adjust. I'm bummed about this reality too, but I'm thinking we're fricking toast, so we'll ultimately have to affect a change in our perspective.

Sometimes life sucks. You think the Leo sensor's nonsense, you might focus on the C Street sensor. With the reality change there, I'm not happy either.

ATTENTION WHINING CRYBABIES!

Please discontinue your subscriptions to iWindsurf and drive to the beach to see if it's windy each day. In fact, you should drive to the beach the same number of times that you normally check iWindsurf, which for me would be 12 or so. Maybe then you'll appreciate what Jim has done for us all, quit whining about it, and figure out how to use the sensors' readings to give you an idea of how windy it is, instead of expecting an exact reading. It takes power & a phone connection to set up a sensor, and that's as close as he could get. I know, I helped him bolt the current sensor to the Lifeguard tower roof a year or so ago.

Jim once told me that he could put a sensor on the water, 5 feet up, and people would still complain--I think he may be right. The sensor for Sherman Marker 14 (Rio Vista) IS on the water, about 16 feet up, and people complain about it, too.

Hey spennie, you just don't get it. I'm well aware of what Jim did, and I'm sure that I was a member long before you, so all the crap nonsense you want to generate is just that.

I was totally happy with what the C Street sensor reported for years, but when the situation has been upturned and adjusted where it makes no real sense anymore, that's not helpful when providing a service. I never complained about the C Street sensor. When you have to drive and expend the gas for better than 30 minutes to get to the launch, don't you think that that matters?

The all or nothing scenario that you're presenting is just stupid BS, and I don't mind calling you on such goofiness. Man, you need to get a clue!

SWCHANDLER:

I do get it. As I said above, it takes power & a phone connection to set up a sensor. C-Street was the very first Call of the Wind sensor, it's Jim's "home" site, don't you think he's doing the best he can? It's now your job to learn to interpret the sensor readings to make it work for you. If you're that unhappy with the service, put up your own sensor, must be easy, right?
