Well heading back from the gorge after a 26 day road trip. Here is what it was.....
Sailed 21 out of 26 days (managed to get some good sessions despite the heat wave) and sailed 48 sessions.
Used the following sails
3.7 2x
4.2 5x
4.7 19x
5.2 11x
5.7 12x
6.2 1x (sail really didn't agree with the boards I took)
Used the Following boards...
75 L Angulo Chango 3x
86 L Fanatic Freewave 15x
95 L Fanatic Freewave 8x
107 L Fanatic Skate 24x
Had a great time. Spent a lot of time at Veinto State Park (had the best wind quiet a few times during the heat wavet), plus Sevensons (on both westerlies and easterlies), Hood River city park, Moiser, and Maryhill.
Coming home to go back to work really sucks...... |

Sounds like an awesome time. Back to work after a good vacation is always difficult but at least you be retiring soon and get to move up there which puts you in a very enviable position from where I sit. |

Sounds like you had a great trip. For those who might want to emulate you lets correct some of those locations; "Veinto" is Viento State Park, "Sevensons" is Stevenson, WA. where there are two launches, if you sailed there on westerlies you were probably at Bob's Beach,"Moiser " is Mosier, OR where the launch is known as Rock Creek. "Hood River city park" must mean the new Waterfront Park which is located next to the Event Site. |

Well my scale says 182 but I tend to doubt it. It said the same weight before the trip and I know I lost weight
The Angulo is still a work in progress. I liked it a while ago, but when sailing on it one day I just couldn't get it dialed in. I think I put the fin too far forward. So I moved the mast track forward a bit and the fin back a bit then tried it. Well that sucker took off like a bat out of hell. I'm not sure if making it faster was my goal, but it definately make me enjoy it better....
When I sailed Stevensons on the east day (assuming you are reffering to the one last week) I sailed way OP on my 6.2 then rigged down to the 5.7 for a second session. The second day I started out on the 5.7 then came in because I was OP again and went out on the 5.2.
The day I sailed Maryhill I was either on my 75 l or 86 l and was on the 3.7 sail. I sailed till I couldn't hold on any longer. On the drive back to H/R there was "smoke on the water" for most of the drive. I talked to people who were blown off the water on 3.5's all the way back to H/R..... |

John Im guessing your Maryhill day was July 23rd, my last day in the Gorge. Dougs was nuts. 3.7 with crazy North gusts that thrust you into a Giant set of rollers in the middle. what a blast! I miss it already.

thx for the Angulo report, looing at a replacement for my high wind board, its been highly recommended, but everyone is quite a lot heavier than me, may need to go smaller.
Sevenson was lite when I sailed there. Maryhill sounds like the day I left,
the Dougs experience sounds like a "Lost " episote. _________________ K4 fins
