We are flying into Traverse City, Michigan this Friday for a wedding & wondering if/where there is any windsurfing spots in that area? We have never been to this area so would love some help...thx!

Yes, It nukes up that way too, the farther North you go the better it seems to get...Check out around Northport if you can get up that way too. Bring your gear, even if its a little bit of a pain, so worth it.

Lots of great areas. Conditions can range from dead calm Sad to to 3.7 wave sailing Laughing Laughing If your not bringing gear check out

There are several inland lakes in addition to Lake Michigan so there are places to sail in every wind direction. My favorites are Sturgeon Bay: awesome wavesailing on S/Wto N and Petosky: SS/W to N. Try a downwinder from the city pier to the State park. If the wind is East (offshore) head for an inland lake like Crooked or Charlevoix. Northern Michigan is awesome!!

In July i did had a killer day sailing on Esche beach in the Great Bear Dunes park. Unbeatable scenery too...
