This is one weekend where I wish the wind would not blow --- at least the temps are cooler and there is scattered drizzle about. Driving W. on hwy 14 this afternoon from Dougs, Mosier was enveloped in smoke --- it looked pretty bad. At least the winds backed off in the central Gorge tonight.
Best wishes to the residents and fire fighters for a safe and speedy resolution to this now 700 acre fire.
