Event Site closed this weekend

Hi Windsurfers-

The Association of Wind & Water Sports Industries (AWSI) is hosting a private industry demo event at the Event Site this week, closing the Event Site to the public. Retailers from across the country will be attending to view and demo 2010 products from the windsurf/kiteboard/SUP manufacturers.

The Event Site will be closed this Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, re-opening Sunday at noon. The Waterfront Park and Jensen Beach will be available for regular use.

Also, AWSI is hosting a party on Friday, and you're invited!

AWSI - Dakine - Redbull Party
Where: The River City Saloon
When: Friday night 8pm - 2am
What: Music from Area 54 DJ and The Surf Vipers
Cost: $6

Hi Katie - thanks for the heads up about the Event site. However, there is a sign in front of the Event Site that says water access is only available from the spit? I'm hoping that is wrong and that someone is just thinking of the kiters and not the windsurfers? I think you are right in saying there is still access from the Waterfront park/Jensen beach area....?

There is also the "Monster" party on Thursday night at the Hood River Inn open to the general public.
