looks windy, 19+ at la ventana when the bay area is 2+ is a good sign! how accurate is that wind meter down there? it's not like the berkeley meter, right? : )

It's new, but I think it reads low usually-probably because it's in the wind shadow on shore. There's also a wind meter on wunderground , it's more accurate, although it's up on the hill in El Sargento, and reads in km.

Just back from 7 days of straight sailing at La Ventana with Wyatt and Tyson. Got super lucky and caught the second half of the 16 straight days of wind in LV this year. Wyatt has a great setup with amazing 2010 Naish gear in all shapes and sizes, SUPs, ATVs for non-windy days, and very comfortable Casitas right next to the beach. And Tyson is offering some very informative lessons on the water. This was my first trip to LV and I was very impressed with the rustic, off the grid vibe, what a cool spot. I was even more impressed with it blowing 20+ everyday i was there. Wyatt definitely knows LV in and out so it was great to be in good hands. I highly reccommend staying at "The Wyatt" for your next trip to LV. Very Happy

And the carnitas stop in La Paz before going back home is key.

Ha ha (or when south of the border, Ja Ja).... Be sure to try the Cueritos (fried pig skin), Buche (chunks of pig fat), or best of all, Tripita (pig intestines). But hey, when in Rome....

It is still ripping in LV. Big Norte the past 3 days and it continues today despite the fact that I have to drive in to the airpor. D'oh.

We still have openings in Feb if anyone wants to make a last minute trip.

Also I have a Wave & Freestyle clinic scheduled in San Carlos
May 1st-8th and there is still a lot of space available. Check out
www.solosports.net for pricing and other info. May is the best month for wind and waves. And as they say at SOLO "YOU JUST DON'T KNOW TILL YOU GO"

Here's the latest video out of Baja. No offense to Wyatt, but Tyson has some mad talent.

Here goes most of the event poster for My May 1st - 8th San Carlos Freestyle Wave Clinic

It is gonna be a blast, surfing and SUPINITUP all morning with just your fellow campers. Then blasting down the line all afternoon linking bottom turns to your hearts delight.

If you have never sailed in the waves, there is really no better more comfortable place to learn.

HORRRRAY!!!!!!!!

THE WIND DROUGHT IS OVER AND EVERYONE IS PLANING ON 6.0 OR BETTER.

NOT THAT THE WINDLESS SPELL WAS ALL THAT BAD. ME AND THE CLIENTS SPENT THE RAINY DAY BASKING IN THE HOT SPRINGS AND PADDLEBOARDING AROUND IN THE RAIN.

THE OTHER DAYS WE WENT SPEARFISHING WITH TONS OF VISABILITY AND EVERYONE GOT A FISH.....THOUGH SOME WERE A BIT SMALLL...NO NAMES MENTIONED.

THEN THERE WERE THE ATV RIDES UP TO THE WATERFALLS....

PRETTY SURE EVERYONE OF THE GUESTS HAD A GREAT TIME

BUT I SURE AM GLAD TO SEE THE WIND BACK...THAT GLASSY STUFF IS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN IN JANUARY...

MILLERTIME

OHHH YA AND CHECK OUT ALL THE AWESOME FISH WE CAUGHT ON ONE OF THOSE DEAD DAYS....LALO YOU ARE A FISH SLAYER AND FOR ONLY $200 BUCKS FOR THE BOAT.....I CANT WAIT TO GO OUT ON THE NEXT DEAD DAY
