After 2 big days at Chatham(5.2 & 4.7) on Mon. & Tues. I thought I was good for awhile. Then came BIG SATURDAY !!!!!!!
Started at Chapin on outgoing tide, portside 4.2 shortboard was good right thru the zone. Only 4 sailors, & no kites - guess it was windy. Sailed back to the launch before the water was out too much.
Wind went more north so I went to Corp with Jeff & Dennis from Duxbury at noon. When we arrived some guy who kited downwind(intentionally??) from Chapin crashed in the zone, lost his board and went thru the spincycle before crawling from the surf.
CORP CLASSIC 4.2 SHORTBOARD FULL-ON !!! Approaching low tide and HUGE SWELLS just off the bar. Enough west in the wind to make for a relatively easy out into the PHAT WAVES, and lots of elbow room - only the 3 of us, then a fourth. I could barely hang on at the end cause I was way overpowered a lot of the time. 50 degrees kept me toasty warm!!
WHERE WAS EVERYONE?? TOO MUCH TURKEY???!!!!!

All I can say is that Wavedog and the others must have some bulk. I was way overpowered Friday afternoon, on a 4.0, and the weather stations were running 25%+ stronger yesterday.
