Labor Day weekend '09 was way more than "ominous"!!! I remember back in the day when we only had to worry about getting eaten by a big wave |

Guess it was wishful thinking - was hoping he had a missing i and wouldn't be able to see us. 2pm sounds ok if the wind holds. |

Not lookin very impressive. The forecast says tomorrow will be warmer and windier, with bigger swell. May go have a look anyway. |

That was great!!! Thanx, Jerry, for buggin me enough to get over there & get er done - check 1 for Feb. !!!! Glad I went with the 5.2. My board's a bit heavy these days, so I needed the extra power. Looked like the 4.7's did the trick for you & PK.
I was a bit distressed when one of the screws holding my back footstrap in place pulled out after a jibe off Dead Man's Point It forced me to do a careful downwinder back to the lighthouse for a screwdriver, & right when the swell was getting good. After the repair was done, I was only able to get 1/2 way back to the point before the wind shut off Got to do a better job of checking out my gear next time.
What about the lighthouse??? It was plugged in but they didn't turn on the motor that turns the light!!!! I could see the light from the north point but it was dark when viewed from Dead Man's. I know the economy is hitting things hard, but that's unacceptable!!
How bout part 2 on Thursday??? Anybody in???? |
