|
|
What is the best way to forecast how big the shorebreak at Cabrillo Beach will be?
I'm actually interested in LITTLE shorebreak as I'm out of shape and don't want to get slammed while going in and out
Windfinder shows forecast wave size and direction. For today it's supposed to peak at 5 at 4.6 from west and tomorrow it's supposed to be at 3.3 from south. The period is longer tomorrow too. So would tomorrow be expected to be milder than today? But if it's more southerly, than won't the beach be more exposed?
Do tides fit into it somehow?
I expect to need to need a lot of gear tuning and it's easier to do if I can go back and for to the beach and tweak my settings without fear of carnage... Maybe I'm a wuss, but cabrillo shore break can be tricky when the wind is light inside
Plus, how are the weeds this year?? I'm hoping the winter storms have trashed the kelp beds... |
