HEY ALL YOU WINDSURFERS.

DUE TO THE QUESTIONABLE WINDS THIS WEEKEND WE ARE GOING TO START OFF WITH A BAY AREA HELICOPTER PHOTOSHOOT AT:

5:15 ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON THEN DO ANOTHER ONE SATURDAY AFTERNOON AS PLANNED.

SO TELL YOUR BOSS YOU HAVE A CASE OF FRIDAY FEVER AND TRY TO GET TO CRISSY FIELD, TREASURE ISLAND, CANDLESTICK, BERKELEY, OR 3RD AVENUE.

THE HELICOPTER WILL START OFF AT CRISSY AT 5:15 AND THEN FLY TO ALL THE OTHER LOCATIONS.

IF YOU KNOW THAT YOU WILL BE HEADING TO A PARTICULAR LOCATION AND WOULD LIKE TO HELP COORDINATE (I.E RECEIVE A TEXT SAYIN THE HELI IS EN ROUTE TO YOUR LOCATION AND THEN RUN AROUND YELLING "THE HELI IS COMING ...THE HELI IS COMING..GO GO GO"

- POST ON THIS FORUM WITH YOUR PHONE NUMBER AND THE SAILING SITE YOU WILL BE AT AND I WILL CONTACT YOU TO DIAL EVERYTHING IN.

WE ARE TRYING TO GET AS MANY WINDSURFERS ON THE WATER AS POSSIBLE SO TELL EVERYBODY AND BUGG ALL YOUR BUDDIES WHO HAVEN'T SAILED IN A WHILE.

WIN THE NAISH FORCE THAT WAS ON THE COVER OF WINDSURFING MAGAZINE!

We got a last-minute donation of the slightly-used Naish Force 4.7 that was on the cover of WINDSURFING. Pick up raffle tickets at the Safety Day - all proceeds benefit the SFBA!

We will be doing our best to cover Coyote and Alameda, too - helicopter permission allowing!

I'll see if I can make it to Coyote Friday. But I will be at Coyote on Saturday for sure.

Thanks Wyatt for posting while I couldn't get online!
Hey everyone,

I hope you're getting as excited for the Bay Day/Safety ClInic/Sail-a- Thon
and Heli shoot as I am! If you are, you've probably been looking at the
forecast, which is most politely described as "questionable"
for BOTH of the two days (Sat and Sun) we had scheduled to shoot.

Our solution? MORE HELICOPTER TIME! Except - we're starting on Friday at
5:15.

It's a better chance of wind and will guarantee we can get some great
sailing shots. We'll still have the heli in the air for Saturday, too
- we just want to cover our butts! Some good news about the heat wave
- it makes for EXCELLENT aerial photography - so grab your big gear, your
sailable SUPS and longboards, hit the swap meet in the morning, come to the
Safety Clinic and free lunch at St Francis Yacht Club, then hang at Crissy
Field and sail around on big gear while we get some extra aerial heli shots,
and just celebrate windsurfing. Kai Katchadourian will be hangin' around
early at the swap meet with plenty of gear to sell, and Bay Area freestyle
king Wyatt Miller will hold an impromptu 15-minute clinic that afternoon.

And remember - Safety Day HAPPENS NO MATTER WHAT THE WIND DOES! Come get a free lunch and learn how to sail or kite safer.

So- Friday - shred your little gear at your local spot
Saturday- hit up Crissy to join the Wind community for fun 'n food and big
gear cruising.

We can't wait to see you there and on the water!

Blame any typos on my iPhone

Don't rule out Palo Alto! Many times when the peninsula shuts down Palo Alto is the place to be.

We have a great ebb tide for Friday and Saturday so you should be able to get many shots of Old School Freestyle moves on butter flat water from the many sailors at Palo Alto.

We'll be waiting for you!

Laughing Razz

I will be at 3 Ave on Friday . If I will not make on the cover page Smile can I get my picture anyway? I am assuming you will be shooting a lot and select the best one. Can we see all the pictures somewhere? Are they going to be for sale?

Excuse me if my geography is wrong but I think there was some worry about Palo Alto being so far south we wouldn't be able to carry fuel and hit all other spots.... But I'm not ruling it out. Tonight I'llpost some info about our twitter account so it's easy for me to update everyone about plans for day...
