Clearly, no two people are ever going to fully agree on fins. Windsurfing is more of an art form than a mechanical exercise. Well, that's what we kid ourselves anyway. We all like to think we have a unique and superior individual style!
As for getting too carried away over the number and type of fins, I think I'll just pass. It's too easy to be fooled into buying the latest and greatest and thinking you're a better windsurfer as a result. My Acic 73 (which is only 4 years old anyway) does the high wind B & J stuff, and the Evo 74 loves the surf. As for me, I'm getting worse not better, so why kid myself!
Sometimes, the most fun is had gentler surf and winds, on a bigger board where everything is in harmony, and you could just go on for ever. The big Kona has to be the answer there. |
