I have never sailed anywhere north of the Cape.
THe ocean is off the Richter scale at present, and unsailable by mortals.
I need some action, but not sure death.
I figure Cape Cod Bay will be ok tommorow, but i could drift north to get a bit of the swell action if it came into the Duxbury zone.....just don't know where.
Wish I had time for something like Nahant or north _________________ https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=zw0MgkO7VXw |

Hey OC,
Consider Green Harbor, Marshfield. A jetty protects from shore break, and some decent swell can wrap in around the point of the jetty. Wind is side-off in NE. Tide no issue but waves seem to be better at 1/4 to 3/4 tide. Duxbury meter should read mid 20's or better to have decent wind here. There is a nasty wind shadow near shore and the lower the tide the easier to walk out further to catch some wind off the beach.
Directions: Exit 11 off Rt. 3, Marshfield. Take 139. Cross over major road (3A?) at light and continue straight. Pass "Duxbury Beach" sign then in a few streets go right onto Beach St. Go all the way to the end, into small parking lot.
Note: If you try to go into Cape Cod Bay at the traditional Duxbury Beach (Exit 10) the Harbor Master may give you a hard time (if it's the same guy from years back) and threaten to have your car towed if you "foolishly go in the water in high winds and rough seas". He actually told me to go to Green Harbor once because "they won't mind in Marshfield", or to just "stay in the harbor".
I can't make it, but enjoy if you go.

My daily milk run this week included NHRS - Nauset Light - By Coast Guard.
Wednesday was spectacular!
Did you see the newspaper picture of the guy surfing Corporation? Interesting option!

Oh well, never made it off Cape....spent at least an hour just staring at th ocean, then went to Chapin for the most mellow session of the year.....planing, but just barely, with fun little swell. All sparkles and warm. _________________ https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=zw0MgkO7VXw |

More or less the same with one other guy for a late lunch break at my NE wind standby Pleasant Bay. A little too much out of the north also. The fact that I was motivated to go back to work, then rake until pitch dark made the trip at least passing with a "C"
Do I dare say that I'm getting tired of sailing and want to resume my education regarding the fine art of surfing??
