Tramontana,
Like you, I only had DIVII boards, starting windsurfing in the early 1980s.
I currently have 7 DivII boards.
I agree. These board are not only for lights winds (most of windsurfers make the mistake) but become more and more challenging as much as the wind goes up...Navigating them around 20 knots wind and above is feasible but need training and a lot of practice.

Tramontana,
Fasten your seat belt
- 01 Croconuts (triple concave below, one of the latest Open Div II ever made, 1988-1989, competing against the Lechner 390)
- 01 Hervé Borde (1983)
- 01 Oceanite Competition 2 (1984, centreboard retractable)
- 01 Tornado (1981)
- 01 Magnum 390 Plus (1981-1982)
- 01 Reix Competition (1983)
- 01 Crit 650 (one of the 1st Open Div II ever made, just before the Crit D2, 1980 ?).
I have the Croconuts here with the Reix and the Crit. Others are in France.
Of course the Croco is my favorite, the most performing board, that I never stopped navigating since the late 80s.
I`m attaching a pic here.

Most of them are French but everyone speaks English and we do have some members from foreign countries , of whom Michael Gebhardt, former US olympic sailboarder (Silver Medal), etc...
I`m trying to get some from other countries such as NZ (Kendall?) Australia...
It is private access. So please refer my first name (Éric) and our talks when you ask the administrator (Jean-Marc or Aymeric) to join. I let them know also (you must register under your real name).

Closer look to the Océanite Compétition 1, my first board in competition.
(There are 2 models, identical shapes, centreboard non retractable & retractable).
The Océanite Compétition is certainly one of the most comfortable DIV II board to navigate Upwind. It has a lot of volume in the center (may be too much).
However, it is also one of the most (if not the most) challenging in the breeze Downwind. It is really round bottom below and has not enough volume at the rear. Also, you cannot retract the centreboard (on the 1st model) and must remove it and hold it in hands. Brace for real Inferno if it is windy!!!

Here is the Famous Tornado, the one that make the Div II so popular in the early 80s.
The centreboard was semi retractable from the very beginning I think.
It competed against Océanites and then, early Mistral M1.
Easier to sail than an Océanite because of the semi retractable centreboard and more volume at the rear, i.e. more advanced.
