When do forecasts start? It is March 24th already. What will it take in order to get the year round service we deserve.
All winter I have been using http://www.windfinder.com/ . I hate to do this, as I would rather support iwindsurf. I have been a member since it was the Wind Hot Line. But I find Windfinder’s computer models give me more useful information in a better format than iwindsurfs winter computer models. I do not wish to trash the hard working staff at iwindsurf. I know you guys are on a shoestring budget. But I also know you have signed up a ton of Kiteboarders over the last few years. So if $160 can’t get me human forecasts…what will?... $200…$250?
I guess this gets under my skin because I am about to shell out $159.95 on March 30th. And even the seasonal guys are getting out on the water.

Thank you,

Frank

[MODERATOR: Your input here is important, Frank, but the iWindsurf forecast team normally doesn't get the chance to read the forums. So please do drop a line directly to:

Also have you seen iWindsurf's alternative website, WindAlert? The forecast models are different -- might be more to your liking. Here is a Cape Cod profile on WindAlert, as good as any page to check out first:

WindAlert_NY-NYC:

And here's the page for Breezy Point...you'll notice lots of options in terms of which forecast to show, and then of course there's tide data and the last 7-days wind reports:
