Cool Big day in Hatteras on Sat. the 16th. The iWindsurf wind meters won't show it, but it was blowing SE in the mid 30's out here, while the mainland was getting hammered with tornadoes. After some epic speed runs, 5 miles off shore (in an offshore wind), we were treated with a spectacular light show. Surrounded by severe thunderstorms. I've got some great video Smile

Shocked Squeezed 36 knots out of a slalom board with a 12" weed fin. Too exciting to put into words, danger and speed.

I'm certain there were a lot of happy sailors all over the outer banks!
Pictures and Videos to come...

Awesome runs Dean!

Lets get together behind Egg Island in Hyannis this summer for some speed runs. All my sailing buddies are either too old or kiting these days.

I saw Mike Burns sail when I was in Hatteras two weeks ago. Wow. And I thought he was good years ago at the King of the Cape.

He has "matured" since then. I also met his wife Christina, and they have two little ones now. A very nice approachable couple.

Very Happy I'd love to get together for a little GPS fun. If you know a spot... I'm all over it! Mike and his family are staying right next door. He played the good dad today and rigged for his wife then watched the kids. We've all been there. I always feature him in my annual Hatteras video. Good people for sure.
Sailed until sunset today... all is good!
