Hi Gang

I sold a boom to a guy last fall that worked for a sailcloth company.

He gave me a sample of a repair cloth that was x ply with a PSA adhesive backing. Sat in my garage this winter.

I took it to the Windsurfing Magazine Board tests this spring and I was cutting strips of it to fix all sorts of sails that got speared by one thing or another.

It worked amazingly well, and I gave most of what I had away to the fine folks at the house.

When I came back I bought a full roll of 3" tape to get out to the windsurf community.

I am selling it at $1/linear foot. 5 ft minimum.

Let me know if you want some and I will set you up.

Not going to get rich on this, but everyone needs 5 or 10 ft in their van for that unforseen emergency.

ed

I fixed ezzys, aerotechs, guns, maui sails. I almost needed to fix my KAs. very very close. My time will come.

Ed's stuff is great. Grid/tri-lam as I recall. I think it may be overkill for some repairs but why risk it? Very high quality stuff, you won't be disappointed.

Isn't it less than ideal to put that type of tape over x-ply itself? I have found that x-ply damage usually is small as it doesn't rip and practically impossible to repair. Tape does not sit comfortably on such a rough surface.

I bought some of this tape from Ed. So far I've used it on a harness hook tear in a monofilm foot section of a freeride sail. it's working so well (very sticky on monofilm) that I don't think I need to get that panel replaced. I've also used it successfully for a tear in my Dakine travel quiver bag. I applied it to the inside where the nylon is coated (semi-glossy) and again this tape sticks like magic. Thanks Ed! Very Happy

I have used this for years and it last for years on a sail tear. There are several other clear packing taps with x-ply or other reinforcement that also work well.
