Is there a plan to remove the kite ramps that are now cluttering up the mouth of Hood River? It looks like Katrina went through town.

I'd like to think there's a plan, but I doubt there is.

As a native Oregonian, this mentality bugs the crap out of me. I was taught to leave no trace.

shhhhhhhhh !!! Can't say anything in the Gorge that causes "bad vibes". Can't change people.... nope, best to leave this issue up to those stupid political figures who don't make sense and drive everyone crazy. Isn't that what we all signed up for?

Can we and should we expect kiteboarders to organize to do anything to "clean up after the party"? don't hold your breath, brah. Too many coke heads and beach bums, besides they still might use them you know, someday...

Yeah, you tell 'em guys. One time I was rigging at the event site and I waved to a kiter but he didn't wave back. It hurt my feelings and made me feel really, really sad. I think maybe he was high on crack, or something. I also heard that all kiteboarders never floss their teeth, or take out the trash on their designated trash days. I bet none of the kiters are using those features at all any more. Not ever. I bet the one that's sideways has nothing to do with the low water level, but a bunch of kiter crackheads tipped it over on purpose! Yeah, that's it. They snuck out in the middle of the day from their meth labs and tipped it over. What a bunch of mean spirited environmental Nazis, those kiteboarders are! I hate them, and I will NEVER invite them to my birthday party.

I Love the manic responses on this forum (pardon the generalization), it's pretty entertaining. I wonder why the kiteboarders don't clean up after themselves, or take out the trash or make their beds or call their mom's on their birthdays? Every last stinking one of them is only one certain way, that's why they have a reputation right? they do have a reputation don't they? oh wait, I was thinking of the pole smurfers, they're the bad ones. Everything is only either good or bad!

Peeps better Lawyer Up. Them hazards to navigation be an attractive nuisance.

Very sorry to hear about anyone having an accident in our playground.

Life's lessons can be painful.
