I'm pleased to announce that East of Air is finally open for business. We offer awesome rental gear at very reasonable rates. While our website is down (no thanks to GoDaddy) I'll tell you a little bit about East of Air from a windsurfer's perspective.
EOA rents brand new 2011 gear from BicSport, Angulo and GUN Sails. We offer beginner gear, performance stuff (like Angulo and Bic shortboards, and all varieties of sails) and we rent race gear -the exact same stuff Josh Angulo used so well this year in the PWA: Angulo Magnum slalom boards, GUN Sails MegaXS, 100% carbon spars. We also offer pure wave gear featuring the Angulo Victory Quad series. Again, 100% carbon masts.
For all here at iWindsurf, let me offer you a 20% discount on all rental gear. And, if you like what you tried, I'll credit you what you would have paid for an hour of rental toward the purchase of new or lightly used gear. Just get in touch with me via telephone or email.
EAO also offers SUPs from Bic and Angulo, plus kayaks and a carousel! We have our own beach facing the Atlantic and another launch into Winthrop Harbor, so you are good to go no matter the wind direction. Oh yes, when the waves come, and they do, we are a few hundred yards from a down the line point break!
East of Air is easy to find. navigate to eastofair.com and click on "where" You will find a scalable map showing our exact location. Of course, just enter Deer Island into your nav and you will see East of Air on Tafts Avenue, Winthrop, MA before you get to the Deer Island Park.
We soon will have a fun party to celebrate our unofficial opening. I'll spread the word on that one, probably over Labor Day weekend. _________________ Support Your Sport. Join US Windsurfing!

good on ya Dan! (and the rest of the folks who launched East of Air). I'll be by for kayak rental on one of those (many!) no-wind days! Congratulations on getting this off the ground. |

Awesome Dan! Best of luck to you and your partner. Having sailed there, it is an awesome spot with North and South launches at the entrance to Deer Isle. GO EAST OF AIR! Ned |

Thanks Ned! We have a really windy spot, that's for sure. As I posted in the Where You Sailed Today thread, I was lit up on a 7.5 this morning. Not just powered nicely but lit.
