What is up with with MaiTai Global renting and shutting down the Event Site this weekend? MaiTai cordoned off the Event Site with fencing, no sailors and no spectators allowed. According to their web site "the world's greatest minds, coolest brands, and best athletes" Guess that HR is getting too elite for me.

I think that everyone who thinks this elitist event is over the top should consider occupying the Event Site tomorrow.

LOL at their spiel. Are you extraordinary? If I have the entrance fee, can I be extraordinary too? With the weekend temps, they should have some extraordinarily hot chicks down there if they're as cool as they proclaim.

You are not special or even exceptional.

When the Windsurfing events close the Event Site to kiting, do you hear any of them complaining? Besides there are many other places you can go to Windusrf, for free even! In case you have not noticed, the majority of the Event site wind recreation users use kites.... not Pole boards.

Just my 2 cents.

Who said anything about kiting vs. windsurfing? My complaint is the Event Site is closed to ALL sailors and ALL spectators for this elite event.

What's next? Exclusive use of the Event Site rented out for weddings or corporate outings?

Hmmm, it is called the "Event Site"....
They put on all sorts of "events" there. Nothing "elite" about this event unless you don't want to pay the entry fee.
Looks like a fine day to close it off so the "elite" can SUP. Sounds more boring than golf.... Wink

Nope, you can't just pay the entry fee to rub elbows with the elite MaiTai Global Jet Set at the Event Site, you have to be invited. Seems pretty elite to me.
