No one knows or could know that. It's idiotic. During WW2 the Japanese didn't invade America because it was thought that we all had guns.
Maybe Obama didn't push any more of his idiotic executive authorities because he knew that the rednecks would revolt. You just can't say that. |
Well hell what do you expect, they also agree that we are going to burn up because of global warming. In fact the DNC platform is, well you can see with the link,,,,,,,,,, totally crazy, I guess I'm just going to have to be a criminal. Will I get a tattoo number? Can I pick my favorite number?

Thanks for admitting you are a very serious criminal, I always figured you were. What corporate board or top management were part of to be a part of the lies that kill americans? And yes if you were at the top of these organizations and lied to the investors and americans I think you should be tried for murder. Remember there is no statue of limitations on murder charges. _________________ when good people stay silent the right wing are the only ones heard. |

BS 101 , ya right that was the reason why Japan did not invade America... hahahahah you are such a world class propagandist. Why would anyone believe you.
Ya they only did attack america right at Pearl Harbor for instance. They even attacked america most powerful warships of the pacific yet were afraid of pee shooters on the mainland? to funny your logic.
Here is factcheck stating you and yours are ignorant propagandists. Show us the original quote by the Japanese. Oh my, never was one. To this date no one has shown one to contradict fact check... And it is not like the NRA does not have the money to do so, they are the largest spending lobby on propaganda there is in the world. you would think by now they would have the goods.

Obama isn't stupid. Banning most guns and bullets would be really stupid. Prohibition was stupid and there wasn't a constitutional amendment stating you had the right to drink. |
With prohibition people felt the need to break the law prohibiting them from drinking. The answer was to allow people to consume alcohol and tax the hell out of their behavior. Seeing Obama is not stupid, and that people seem to need their guns, then the obvious solution is to tax the hell out of the sale, resale, and all gun related items, right? |

Having a gun is a constitutional right. Taxing them to the moon to make it more difficult to own or keep one seems to contradict what the constitution is all about. Only the law abiding gun owners/purchasers would pay the taxes. The bad guys and the black market on guns would still be in place without paying taxes. Plus the millions of gun owners where the government doesn't have any records of ownership would have to decide if they want anyone knowing that they have guns.
The guns are here to stay. All the "we have to do something" is nothing but political rhetoric. Sooner or later, congress will pass a law or laws that will help keep known and potential bad guys (no fly list) from legally buying guns. However, many will still buy guns, just not at the store. |

What a defeatist stance techno. Of course there are things we can do to move the needle. Return to the assault weapons ban for starters, reduce clip size etc... Nobody's coming for your shotgun, you can relax, but how about a little common sense? |

Not a defeatist, a realist. Did the previous ban on assault type weapons do any good? If the last shooter only had clips that held 15 rounds, would that have made a difference? If magazines are limited to some smaller number of rounds, will that stop any of the nut cases from doing their thing? Changing clips with 10 minutes of practice is a 2-3 seconds task.
And the answers to the above - first two - yes, maybe. The last one - no. Basically, all feel good measures with little if any benefit.
When there is talk of restricting anything regarding firearms - sales escalate big time. Liberals put more guns in the hands of the American public than the NRA. |

Techno--until the NRA started paying Republican Congressmen millions to assure their cooperation, and two right wing Supreme Court justice were appointed, the second amendment was interpreted literally. Read it:
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
Until that decision, the first clause was always considered, and the second clause was not read independently from the first clause. The conservative Chief Justice Warren Burger described the idea that the Second Amendment gives an unfettered individual right to a gun as "A fraud on the American public."
I accept that the Supreme Court in Heller ignored the first clause, and interpreted the amendment as establishing an individual right to own a gun in your home--that was, after all, what the case was about. What Obama has stated fairly clearly is that he wants to use modern technology to design guns that can only be used by the legal purchaser. We have that on smart phones, and it would certainly stop many of the accidental gun deaths.
Just for giggles and kicks, see how much money the NRA has given Republican legislators, and how it has helped gun sales. |

Ask yourself how one human can take out 49 humans , singlehandedly. If he was packing a sawed -off shotgun, maybe he takes out 4-6. Its crazy. |
