Here are some more.
Someone at a US Embassy will die somewhere, just like nearly every year for twenty years, on average.
It will be Obamas fault just like every year for twenty years.
Both GOP and Dems who work for the Gov. will make errors.
They will ALL be Obamas fault just like when those Republican cops lost track of those guns.
Good things will happen like with Bin Laden and employment numbers.
They will be to the credit of someone, anyone, just not Obama.
More diehard Republican CEOs will screw us and get a big bonus.
They will be referred to as "Obamas Wall Street buddies."

That last one amazed me when I first heard it. It is serious sign of disrespect for the intelligence of the rank and file in the GOP when they told us that Wall Street CEOs were all big Democrats and that's why we got screwed and they walked away.
My apologies to those of you who believed that one. Ain't too bright huh?

Can't help chuckling!

Bolded headlined article in one of last weeks papers. 'The internet is leaving children brain-dead, top inventor warns.' (He being Trevor Baylis, a notable eccentric who invented the wind up radio.)

In one respect (probably the fault of the reporter) that is wrong. Children, as with adults, are not a single identical group. Many are very smart. Trevor's contention is that those who live on the internet and rely on Google searches for all they know (or think they know) about the world, will eventually become fairly brain dead, and quite unable to reason or have an original thought of their own!

The bolded headline should have read; 'The internet is leaving the immature, of ANY age, brain dead!'

Now who could argue with that? Wink

Trevor Baylis, to a Bay area sailor, is a great sit down sailor who was quite a force in racing windsurfers about twenty years ago.

Predictions from the left:

1. Obama will outmaneuver Republicans and work with Feinstein to reinstate regulation of some guns. Republicans will remain in thrall to the corporations who fund the NRA rather than responsible gun owners who are both Republican and Democrat, and favor regulation, and find themselves outside of the negotiations.

2. The Democrats will put forward, and secure the votes, for an immigration measure that will allow eventual citizenship. The Republicans will fail to shout down the rabid righties on their fringe, who will moan about illegals. A number of more moderate Republicans, who can read the demographic tea leaves, will join the Democrats in voting for the bill--but the lack of leadership at the top, and the harsh rheoric of the fringe, will assure that the Rep's get no credit.

3. The Republicans will fire Boehner. He will cry. The reason? Even Boehner's rather tenuous grasp of reality and compromise is too much in the reality world for those who prefer to live in the bubble.

4. Obama will manage to get through some type of response to climate change. The Koch's will wring their hands. Iso and mrgybe will bloviate.

Not so sure they have a replacement for him.

The GOP has competent replacements but those will not be chosen.
Incompetent leadership has been a hallmark of GOP leadership since they spent 100million dollars under Gingrich on the blowjob.
That is why the GOP membership is evolving away from educated conservatives and gradually turning Southern white poor with limited education. They listen to Talk.
Take a look at the best and brightest the GOP offered us in the primary and you will see the direction the Party is taking.

How much you wanna bet they double down on crazy. I wouldn't be surprised if they change their position on human DNA experimentation and try and cross breed the frozen seed of Joe McCarthy with Michelle Bachman to create some sort of GOP-super race. Or they clone Eric Cantor.

So, maybe Christine O'Donnell was right when she said that the government was experimenting with human brains in mice...... and the GOP is experimenting with the left-overs: mouse brains in their politicians.

More ~

>The cost of living will increase, but wages won't.

>The penny will be officially taken out of circulation, they cost 3 cents ea. to make.

>School days will be made longer Nationwide and they'll start making 'em go on Saturdays too. The liberal parents love it!

>Cigarettes, soda, and candy will be prohibited and the nation will become plagued with crime associated with the cigarette cartels and candy black markets.

>Fossil fuel cars will be prohibited, but the new program started to trade your car for a bicycle or an electric cart with some cash, will still fail horribly.

>Global warming: Apple will collaborate with the EPA to create an app that measures exactly how much air you breath in and how much air you release daily and The Clean Air for Children and Puppies Act will stipulate that such devices be mandatory making it possible to literally charge you for your consumption of air and ...erm...emissions of pollution.

>Spoons will be licensed and heavily regulated 'cuz they make people fat, and fat people and are a danger to society and such.

NW will decided to take a deep breath--and realize that he can, even though he lives in California. He will wonder--briefly--why that is--until his attention is diverted by right wing talk radio.
