Can anyone provide feedback on Epic or GT brand masts? Those appear to have some of the best sale prices out there right now. I'm just wondering about drawbacks.

As background I do a lot of wave riding, so quality is definitely important, but on the other hand I'm a 120 lb rider so I'm lighter than the average person they design for and I have never broken a mast. Usually where masts fail me (after years of use) is when they start shedding splinters or warping a bit, so that's what I want to avoid.

have couple of Epics 100% rdm almost 10 years, look fine to me, I do use them with cam sails sometimes, so that puts some wear/tear, you can use carbon tow and wrap used areas and it's back to normal. easy repair

I can't comment on either of these masts, this has some insight

I would recommend to get a mast that has a bend curve to complement the existing sails you have.

from a $ standpoint Chinook are good and Ezzy or NoLimitz will work in most sails, more $$ but strength therefore longevity ....
